Neural Basis of Sexual Response

During my time as a post-doctoral fellow at Rutgers University- Newark Department of Psychology, we worked to analyze brain activity during sexual response  in humans using functional MRI. This involved mapping the genital projections to the somatosensory cortex in men and women, and establishing the sequence of activation of brain regions leading up to, during, and after female orgasm. As a post-doctoral fellow, I  taught the undergraduate upper level course  “The Clinical Neuroscience of Human Sexuality."
