I recently co-presented a webinar training for the Safety Action Series, sponsored by The Council on Patient Safety in Women's Health Care and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. I present on psychotropic medications during the peripartum period - why to prescribe, and how to do it safely.
My co-presenter is Dr. Lenore Jarvis, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at The George Washington University School of Medicine & Children's National Health System, who discusses how to screen moms for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADS). Dr. Jarvis works an Emergency Physician in the CNHS Emergency Department, where she has implemented grant funded research to expand screening for PMADS.
